Who are Lions? Lions meet the needs of local communities and the world. The 1.4 million members of our volunteer organization in over 200 countries and geographic areas are different in many ways, but share a core belief — community is what we make it.
When caring people join together, roll up their sleeves and take action to make their community better, it’s a beautiful thing — and an incredible feeling for everyone involved. That’s Lions. Being a Lion is about leading by example, building relationships and improving the world through kindness. It’s 1.4 million caring men and women serving together so they can make a lasting impact and change more lives.
New & Transfer Members
New Members pay an entrance fee of $35 or must submit the proper waiver certification form. International dues total $43 annually. Dues are billed on a semiannual basis.
Transfer Members in good standing pay no entrance fee when transferring to an existing club within 12 months.
The Family Membership (Affiliate) Program provides families with the opportunity to receive a special dues discount when they join a Lions club together. The first family member (head of household) pays full international dues ($43), and up to four additional family members pay only half the international dues ($21.50). All family members pay the one-time entrance fee of $35.
The Program is open to family members who are (1) eligible for Lions membership, (2) currently in or joining the same club, and (3) living in the same household and related by birth, marriage or other legal relationship. Common household family members include parents, children, spouses, aunts and uncles, cousins, grandparents, in-laws and legal dependents.
